How do I remove a phone from a Honda Civic?

I had to purchase a new phone after I accidentally smashed the screen on my old one. I want to pair the new phone to my Honda Civic, but I want to delete the old one first. How can I remove a phone from a Honda Civic?

Kudos on the new car! If radio presets are your only downfall, you made a great purchase. The good news is that these are easy to set. SettinA smashed phone screen is more common than you think, but a new phone takes some of the dismay away! Thankfully, removing a phone from a
Honda Civic
is straightforward. **All you need to do is follow these steps:
  1. Turn the radio on by either starting the engine or turning your key to the accessories position. If you have a push-button start, start the car.
  2. Press the phone button located just to the right of the radio screen.
  3. Choose Phone Setup.
  4. Using the right-hand dial, scroll down until you find System clear.
  5. Select Bluetooth Setup.
  6. Scroll down again using the dial until you see Delete Device.
  7. Choose the phone you want to delete.
  8. Select Yes when the confirmation prompt comes on the screen.
After you delete your old phone, use the same Phone Setup screen to pair your new phone to the Honda Civic. This allows you to play music and use your phone distraction-free while driving.
