Automakers have had a stop-start year, with the semiconductor chip shortage responsible for countless manufacturing delays. Toyota has been hit worse than most, closing plants and cutting global production by 40%.
Despite this, the cars Toyota has got into showrooms have been selling like hotcakes, and a report from iSeeCars shows eight of their vehicles on the list of fastest selling cars for November 2021.
One of these Toyota models is the brand new
Toyota Corolla Cross
, a compact crossover SUV which has been available in the U.S. since June.

How fast is the Toyota Corolla Cross selling?

The Toyota Corolla Cross joins seven other Toyota models—the RAV4 Prime plug-in hybrid, the Sienna minivan, the Camry Hybrid, the RAV4 Hybrid, the RAV4, the Camry, and the Tacoma—on the list of fastest selling cars for November 2021.
According to
iSeeCars
, the Toyota Corolla Cross spends an average of 16.7 days on the dealer’s lot, with an average sale price of $27,735 per unit.
This makes it the ninth fastest-selling car in the country. The top spot goes to the Mercedes-Benz GLE, which averages just 12.7 days on the lot and costs $74,533.

Is the Toyota Corolla Cross a good car?

According to reviewers, the Toyota Corolla Cross is a decent but limited subcompact SUV.
U.S. News
explains it has an impressively large cargo capacity and intuitive infotainment system. Most impressive is the Corolla Cross’ gas mileage, listed as 31 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.
The Toyota Corolla Cross is let down by its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The 169 hp output feels underpowered and compares unfavorably with other small SUVs, including the energetic Hyundai Kona, the Honda HR-V, and the Mazda CX-3.
Still, thanks to soaring gas prices and low inventory, the Toyota Corolla Cross will continue to be in high demand across the country.
