How do I prevent my car’s glass from fogging?

The weather’s getting cold again and I’m having a really hard time keeping my car’s glass from fogging up when I get in to go to work in the morning. Any tips?

Foggy car windows can be super annoying—not to mention the visual hazard they can pose if they get too bad.
To prevent your windows from fogging up:
  • Never use the recirculation setting (the one that looks like a little car with a curved arrow in it)
  • Roll down the windows
  • Keep your windows clean
  • Avoid bringing anything wet into the car
  • Apply anti-fog spray to your car’s windows
  • Buy a moisture absorber and leave it in the car
Another useful tip is to allow your car some time to regulate its temperature in the morning before you start driving. Running the heat for a few minutes before you get going could help your situation.
