How do I play a video in a Honda CRV 2018?
Can I play a video in my car? After work, I went to go see my daughter’s soccer game. I managed to get there a few minutes early, and her team is in the middle of doing warm-ups before the game starts. To kill some time, I want to watch some videos.

Your daughter must be thrilled to see you at her soccer game! While it is possible to watch videos from your display screen, as a safety precaution, you should only watch videos when your vehicle is safely parked.
You can watch a video in your Honda CRV 2018 by doing the following:
- Park your car in a safe area and turn off the engine. Press the Start/Stop button once to turn on accessory mode on the infotainment display screen.
- Locate the home button on the display screen. If you don’t see the home button, then you are already on the home screen.
- Search for the audio icon and tap on that.
- On the new menu screen, look for the HDMI option. Select that as your source.
- Take an HDMI cable or adapter that is suitable for your phone and plug one end to your phone and the other end into the HDMI port in front of the center console.
- Go to the Youtube app on your phone and select your video. When you press the play button on the video, it will mirror on the infotainment screen. Play and pause controls are on the phone, and you adjust the volume on the vehicle display screen. You can also watch streaming services, like Netflix. Still photos stored on your phone can also appear on the display screen. Be mindful that when the vehicle display screen is on HDMI mode, it will not respond to touch.
Remember when driving, watching videos is dangerous and a hazard to you and other drivers on the road. Avoid playing anything that will distract you from focusing on the road and practice
