How do I perform a 2014 Acura RDX oil reset?

I just got an oil change on my 2014 Acura RDX the other day, but for whatever reason, the oil change or oil life dashboard light keeps coming on. Is there a way to turn off the oil reset/oil life button on a 2014 Acura RDX?

It sounds like your mechanic or lube shop doesn’t know how to properly reset your oil life button or just forgot—it’s a pretty common occurrence. To perform a 2014
Acura RDX
oil reset on your own, follow these steps:
  1. Press the push-start button twice while your foot is off the brake. If you have a key-operated vehicle, turn it forward once to the on position.
  2. Using your steering wheel-mounted controls, press the up arrow until you see Vehicle Settings on the instrument cluster/dashboard.
  3. Press the Sel/Reset button on the steering wheel controls.
  4. Scroll using the arrows until you see Maintenance Info.
  5. Press the Sel/Reset button to select.
  6. Scroll to reset and press Sel/Reset.
That’s it! Since you’re taking a few minutes to learn how to perform an oil life reset on the 2014 Acura RDX, why not spend a little more time to save some money on your car insurance with the
