How do I park I car on a hill?

What’s the best way to park a car on a hill? I know you’re supposed to do certain things to keep your car from rolling, but I’m not sure what those things are!

Parking is always tricky, especially on hills! Luckily, there are specific steps you can take to make it easier. Here are the biggest rules for
parking your car
on an incline:
  • If you’re facing uphill, turn your wheels sharply away from the curb.
  • Let your car roll back slightly until you feel the wheels hit the curb.
  • Then, engage your parking brake. That way, if your car does begin to roll, it will hit the curb and stop.
But if you’re facing downhill:
  • Turn your wheels sharply towards the curb.
  • Let your car slowly roll until you feel the wheels rest against the curb.
  • Engage your parking brake.
If you follow those steps, you shouldn’t have any trouble parking on a hill!
