Most Jeep Commanders
are equipped with two latches that you’ll have to release before opening the hood: the first is a hood release handle inside your vehicle, and the second is a safety latch just under the edge of the hood. The release handle can be found under your car’s instrument panel, just inside the driver’s-side door. Pulling the handle will pop the hood just an inch or two, after which you can access the safety latch. Just push the safety latch to the left, lift the hood, and you’re ready to get to work!
