I have a 2015 Acura MDX that I haven’t driven in a while. I went to take it out today, and I can’t get it to start—how do I jump-start my 2015 Acura MDX?
, you’ve come to the right place! You’ll need a set of jumper cables and a power source—either a portable battery or another vehicle. Once you’ve got both on hand, follow these steps:
Make sure your car’s engine is off, including any power to electric devices like lights or audio
Pop the hood and remove the engine cover from the pins by pulling up
Connect one of your jumper cables to your booster battery’s positive terminal
Connect your second jumper cable to your booster battery’s negative terminal
Use the other end of your second jumper cable to connect to the engine hanger
If you’re using another vehicle as a power source, start the other car and gently step on the gas pedal to slightly increase its rpm
At this point, you should try starting your Acura’s engine
If everything is connected properly, your car’s engine should turn over in a try or two! If it seems the engine is turning over slowly, double-check your jumper cables to ensure they’re connected properly.
