You definitely don’t want to trip at night! Standard aftermarket car door lights are pretty easy to install. Most don’t require any drilling or electrical work unless you connect them to your electrical system.
Take all of the light components out of the box and identify which part is which. This will help you during the installation process.
Choose a spot to install the lights. Make sure that the space between the light housing and the magnetic trip sensor is less than 10mm.
Place the magnet on your door sill. It should stick and be held in place pretty strongly by the metal, but use a strip of tape if it feels loose.
Peel the adhesive strip off of the light housing and attach it to your door. You may need to make a few adjustments to ensure the light aligns with the magnetic strip, so don’t stick it on too tight.
Once everything is aligned and stuck on, go ahead and test the light. You should be all set!
