Can you change your name on a car insurance policy? I got married last month and I'm in the process of changing my name on bank accounts and other similar things.

The insurer will likely require a copy of your marriage certificate, new Social Security card, and/or updated driver’s license.While you’re at it, consider adding your spouse to your current auto insurance policy (or joining theirs) or looking into a multi-vehicle discount to save money.
