I was in an accident and got a ticket for not having proof of insurance. I have insurance and I need to dispute the ticket. How do I get proof of insurance for my car?

proof of insurance

, contact your car insurance company. Alternatively, if you have access to your online account or your insurance company’s mobile app, you can download your ID cards or a letter of experience.

A letter of experience will state the amount of time you’ve had

and your policy coverages. This or your ID cards would suffice as proof of insurance. If you can’t find these online, check your email. Most companies opt for electronic documents. You may have a copy there.

Otherwise, you can call your insurance company. They should be able to send you a copy of your car insurance policy.
