Roombas are great to have around when you’re just too busy to sweep your floors, but sometimes they need a little help. It may be that you need to change some aspects of your room layout to get the Roomba to clean your whole house.
Here are some ways you can make your rooms a bit more Roomba compatible:
Remove clutter from the floor: It’s a good idea to move any unnecessary items that your Roomba might bump. Random stacks of books, toys, whatever is preventing your Roomba from covering as much of the floor as possible
Move furniture to allow better cleaning paths: If you’re noticing specific spots your Roomba is missing, try repositioning the furniture in that area to give the Roomba better access
Make sure your home is well lit: Roombas need light to generate virtual maps of a room with their photoelectric sensor. If you tend to run your Roomba at night, it might be having trouble mapping your home in the dark
And of course, you can always update your preferences and keep track of your Roomba’s progress in the iRobot Home App.
Keeping your home clean is quite literally a chore– but guess what? Finding an affordable
together to get a great deal on both! Just download the app, answer a few questions, and get a free, customized quote that could save you $800+ per year on insurance!
