How do I get my driving record in Maryland?

I need to get my driving record to see why my car insurance rates have increased dramatically since my last renewal. However, I’ve never done it before. What do I need to do to get my driving record in Maryland?

Sorry to hear that your insurance rates have increased! The good news is that you can get your driving record online, in person, or by mail in Maryland. Here’s how to do it:
  • Online: Go to the
Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) website
. Create an account if you don’t have one. Fill out the information, pay the fee, and print off the record.
  • In person: Schedule an appointment at an MVA office. Fill out a DR-057 form and pay the fee.
  • By mail: Print out the DR-057 form. Fill it out, include a check or money order, and mail it to:
Motor Vehicle Administration Attn: Room 145 6601 Ritchie Highway Glen Burnie, MD 21062
Even if you find that your driving record is clean, you can still reduce your
