How do I get my driving record in Florida?

I’m applying for a new job that requires me to drive, and I need to show them my driving history. Where do I get a copy of my driving record in Florida?

You can look at the current status of your Florida driver’s license for free online using the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles’ Driver License Check portal.
If you require a physical copy of your driving record, you can purchase one at any Florida driver license service center. They may also be purchased from court clerks or private vendors.
You can also purchase a copy of your driving record via mail, by sending in a completed request form along with the appropriate fee:
  • 3-year driver history record: $8.00
  • 7-year driver history record: $10.00
  • Complete driver history record: $10.00
It’s important to know your driving history, as it can have a big effect on your

premiums. Drivers with spotty records often pay more for auto coverage because they are considered at higher risk for accidents.
If you have a checkered past, you can still get a decent deal on car insurance by using
