How do I get financial aid for truck driving school?

Is there anywhere that offers financial aid for truck driving school? I want to go so that I can get a steady job, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to afford it on my own. If there are any scholarships or things like that, I would love to know about them.

That’s great that you’re looking into a new career! In order to get financial aid for
truck driving
school, you’ll typically need to apply for government funding. To do this, you’ll need to:
  1. Be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or an eligible non-citizen.
  2. Be enrolled in, accepted to, and making satisfactory progress in an eligible program.
  3. Not have any missed payments on previous Federal Direct Student or PLUS loans.
  4. Present a valid Social Security card.
  5. Be registered for the draft, if required.
  6. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
  7. Possess a High School Diploma or GED, or meet another eligibility condition in the Higher Education Act (HEA) for non-high school graduates.
Once you meet all of these requirements, you’ll be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and the Federal Direct Student and PLUS Loan programs. To learn more about applying for funding for a specific school, contact the financial advising office at the school of your choice.
