How do I get a Honda radio code online?
I bought a used 2002 Honda Accord EX from a private seller, but the battery died unexpectedly for some reason. After purchasing and installing a new battery, the radio now wants a code to start. How can I get a radio code for a Honda online?

While the radio code prompt may be annoying on your 2002
Honda Accord EX
, count your lucky stars! If your car were one year older, you’d have to pry the radio out to get the code. As it stands, a 2002 Accord doesn’t require that.To get a Honda radio code online, you’ll need to log onto radio-navicode.honda.com and input the required information. Read on for further details:
- Click Get Codes at the top of the page.
- Input your VIN (vehicle identification number), zip code, phone number, email, and radio serial number.
- To get the radio serial number, open the glove box. On either the exterior or interior left side of the glove box, you should see the serial number.
- If you don’t, turn the radio off.
- Hold the 1 and 6 radio preset buttons. The display will show a U with four digits after it and an L with four digits after it.
- Ignore the U and the L, and that’s your serial number.
