Follow these steps to fix a twisted car key:

Grab the key at either end with a pair of pliers. You can insert the key into its lock or vice if you don’t have a second pair of pliers.

Bend the key gently until it has straightened. Be careful not to break it.

Insert the key back into the car door lock. Repeat the steps if the key does not turn.
