You can easily replace the damaged section of window tint at home.
Since the scratch is on the tint, not the window itself, the section of tint that has been damaged can be removed and replaced.
Here’s what you need to do:
  • Cut around the damaged section of tint with an X-Acto knife.
  • Get the section wet for easier removal.
  • Peel off the damaged section, removing it from the glass.
  • Remove all excess glue from your window.
  • Cut out a section of tint to fit into the damaged section.
  • Paste on the new tint, lining up the edges.
If this seems too complicated or it didn’t work for you, it’s time to bring your car into a professional.
