How do I fix a hole in the trunk of my car?
My 2001 Honda Civic has a big rust hole in the trunk. It makes it so I don’t want to put anything too small in the trunk for fear of losing it. I’m pretty handy—how can I fix the hole in my car’s trunk?

The simplest method is to use putty or fiberglass filler. Tape the bottom then fill the hole with putty or fiberglass filler. Then paint over the hole to make it look more finished. While this is the easiest fix, it is less than a permanent solution.
The best fix requires some handyman skills: you’ll want to weld new metal over the hole. First, grind or sand down all the rust you can.
