How do I fix a broken car key?

How can I fix a broken car key? I have a mechanical key, and the part that goes on my key ring snapped off a few days ago. I don't know how to fix it, but I don't want to have to buy another key. How do I fix this?

A broken key is super irritating! Luckily, there’s a quick fix—all you need to fix your key is a drill, a small nail, and some patience. Here’s what to do:
  • Using a small drill bit, drill a hole on the side of your key. This hole should be the size of the nail.
  • Take the nail and trim it to the length of the broken part of the key.
  • Dab glue on each hole you drilled and insert the nail.
Easy-peasy!
