, the 2022 Toyota Tundra’s powertrain and suspension have received considerable upgrades.It has a standard twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6. It produces 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. This is a departure from the standard V8 engine of old.
If you configure it into a hybrid powertrain, the Tundra i-Force Max makes 437 hp and 583 lb-ft, becoming more powerful. Only the Ford F-150 offers a hybrid as well, but it’s not as powerful in comparison.
The suspension setup of the Tundra is probably its most significant update. The 2022 Tundra has adopted a coil-spring multilink setup in the rear, basically this means more comfort and refinement.
The Ram 1500 can also be equipped with this coil-spring multilink setup, so they might closely compete in this section. The 2021 F-150 still uses old leaf springs, so it seems to fall short there.
The interior of the Tundra receives nice tech updates over the previous gen pickup.
With a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a standard 14.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Toyota Tundra has a slight edge compared to the Ford and Ram.
As additional options, the Tundra can come with a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Unfortunately, exact prices and MPG estimates are not available yet for the new Tundra. Because the Ford F-150 doesn’t have the more refined coil-spring rear suspension, it should have worse ride and handling as well.
