How do I find someone's car insurance details?

I was recently in an accident. With everything going on at the scene, I forgot to get a picture of the other person's car insurance card. How can you figure out someone else’s car insurance information?

Hope everyone is okay! Luckily, you can find someone’s
car insurance
details after an accident fairly easily.
If an incident report was filed at the scene, you can contact the police department and ask for the other driver’s insurance information. Just explain the reason for your request. They may need to verify your identity, as well.
Another option is to visit the DMV. A representative should be able to provide you with the other driver’s information. Again, you’ll need to provide a valid reason (i.e., the accident) and additional information about the incident.
If neither of these options plays out—but you know the name of the other driver’s insurance company—you can call the company to get the rest of the information. In fact, speaking with the other person’s insurance could potentially help move your claim along faster.
You may find that your insurance rates increase after an accident.
