How do I delete a Bluetooth device from a Honda Civic 2018?

My son and his friend took my 2018 Honda Civic out for a joy ride and paired his friend’s phone to my car. I don’t want his phone in here! What do I have to do to delete a Bluetooth device from the 2018 Honda Civic?

Oh, kids! No problem, we can help with that. To delete a Bluetooth device from a 2018
Honda Civic
, simply follow these steps:
  • First, turn your radio on.
  • Find and press the phone button to the right of your Civic’s radio screen.
  • Press “No” when prompted to add a new device.
  • Select “Phone Setup” and use the radio button to scroll down until you find and select “System Clear”.
  • Select “Bluetooth Setup” and scroll down again until you find “Delete Device”.
  • Select the device you wish to delete and press “Yes” to confirm.
That’s it! Your son’s friend’s Bluetooth device should now be deleted. You’ll have plenty of room to add your own phone if you’d like. Just follow these steps:
  • First, enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Next, press the Home button on your Honda’s multimedia screen.
  • Press “Phone”, then “Yes” to confirm.
  • When prompted to add a new device, select “Yes”. Then select your device.
  • Finally, select “HandsFreeLink®” from your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
Voila! Your phone and Civic are now pairing and will soon be connected via Bluetooth.
