To connect a phone to Ford Transit
Bluetooth, use the sync connections option on the Transit and then pair the devices. It’s easy to connect to Bluetooth, if your Transit is equipped with Bluetooth. Make sure that your model has Bluetooth compatibility!
Start by ensuring that your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on. Now, look for the Phone button on the steering wheel or center console. Press the Phone button and then look for ‘Settings’ or ‘Phone Settings’. Find the ‘Add Device’ or ‘Pair Device’ option.
Next, you’ll pair your phone to the van by confirming a passcode. Find the vehicle in your phone’s list of available Bluetooth devices. Then, enter the code if one appears. It may be 0000, 1234, or whatever code is listed in the owner’s manual.
If your Transit is from 2017 or later, you can also use the on-board Apple CarPlay to play music through your van. However, another option is to add a Bluetooth adapter to an older car
if you find an older Transit that’s a bit cheaper. Sometimes, outdated software can cause connection problems. If you can’t connect, try restarting your phone. Otherwise, call a Ford dealer to inquire about a software update.
