How do I check tire pressure on the Ford Escape?
I have a Ford Escape that’s been driving a bit erratically as of late. I think that the tires are to blame, so I want to check the pressure when I get a chance. I’ve just never done it before—how do I check tire pressure on an Escape?

One surefire way to tell if your Ford Escape’s tire pressure is part of the problem is to check for the tire pressure monitor on your dashboard—denoted by a tire with an exclamation point in it, this is a sign that it’s time to check the tire pressure. To check tire pressure on a Ford Escape, follow these steps:
- Turn the Escape’s engine off.
- Open the driver’s side door and look inside the door jamb to get the proper PSI (pounds per square inch) tire pressure rating.
- Unscrew the valve stem cap from the valve stem on your tire.
- Use the backside of the tire gauge to release air or compressed air to fill the tires.
- Check all your tires to make sure everything is balanced.
