How do I check tire pressure on a Hyundai Tucson?
I have a newer Hyundai Tucson, but recently it’s been handling a bit funky. I suspect that one or more of the tires is over or underinflated, but I’ve never checked them before. How do I check tire pressure on a Tucson?

If you have a 2007 or newer model, your Tucson should come equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system. This will let you know the pressure in each tire. Once you have that information, here’s how to check tire pressure on a Hyundai Tucson:
- Find the valve stem on the tire.
- Unscrew it.
- Press the tire gauge against the valve stem to get a psi reading. This will let you know whether you need to add or remove air from the tire.
- Use an air compressor to add air. You can either buy one or go to a gas station.
- If you need to remove air, press the backside of the tire gauge against the valve stem.
- Once you have all tires to the proper psi as outlined in your owner’s manual, you’re done!
