How do I check tire pressure on a Hyundai Sonata?
I have a Hyundai Sonata that’s been a true workhorse for my morning commute. However, I recently noticed that it’s pulling to the left when I’m driving. I assume it’s the tire pressure, but I’ve never checked it before. How can I check the tire pressure on my Sonata?

Your Sonata pulling in one direction could be the result of several issues, but checking your tire pressure is the quickest and fastest fix-all. To check tire pressure on a Hyundai Sonata, just follow these steps:
- Find the correct tire pressure, known as psi, on the driver’s side door jamb or in the owner’s manual. In most late-model Sonatas, the correct tire pressure is 34 psi.
- Locate the valve stem.
- Unscrew it.
- Push the tire gauge against the valve stem to get a psi reading.
- This will let you know whether you need to add or remove air from the tire.
- If you need air, use an air compressor. You can either buy one or go to a gas station to add air.
- If you need to remove air, press the backside of the tire gauge against the valve stem. If done correctly, you should hear air leaving the tire.
- Repeat for all tires as a good general practice.
- Once you have all tires to the proper psi as outlined in your owner’s manual, you’re done!
