I have a Ford Escape Hybrid that’s been a great car for several years—until recently. In the past few days, the battery is running erratically and losing its charge. How can I charge the battery on a Ford Escape Hybrid?

is acting strangely! To charge a Ford Escape Hybrid battery, start the car and let it run for about 20 to 30 minutes. Then, drive it around for an additional 15 minutes. This should recharge the battery unless there’s another issue at play.

If for whatever reason the battery still doesn’t charge, you can also use a battery charger. Here’s how to use a battery charger to charge your Ford Escape Hybrid battery:

Pop the hood

Look for the fuse box

Open the fuse box and use the fuse box chart to find the battery fuse

Connect the red cable to the fuse and the black cable to a piece of metal

Let the battery charge for one to two hours
