How do I change the battery in a Honda keyless remote?

I’ve noticed the range on my Honda keyless remote has gotten significantly smaller over the last month or so. I’m assuming that means its time to change the battery, but I can’t see how it’s done. How can I change the battery in my Honda keyless remote?

Generally when the range on your keyless remote begins to decrease, it’s a telltale sign that you need to change the battery. Luckily, to change the battery in your
Honda’s
keyless remote, you only need to follow these five steps:
  1. Determine what type of battery you’ll need for your remote. You can find this information in your owner’s manual, on the back of the key fob, or printed on the battery when you remove it.
  2. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry your key fob gently apart.
  3. Take out the dead battery, but take note of the position of the positive and negative sides.
  4. Put your new battery in with the same orientation of the positive and negative sides.
  5. Reassemble your key fob and test the remote.
Now that your keyless remote is working properly, take some time to look over your
