To cancel your
car insurance
with GEICO, all you need to do is call their customer service at (800)-841-1587 and speak with one of their agents. You can also cancel your policy via email or by the chat feature in the GEICO app.Here is what you should have with you to ensure a smooth transaction:
- Your name
- Your GEICO policy number
- The date of cancelation (usually the date you sold the car)
Some states have license plate requirements, so check with your local DMV before you cancel your policy. You may need to surrender your license plates before you cancel your insurance.
