How do I cancel GEICO car insurance?
I want to switch my car insurance provider from GEICO to another provider. Can I cancel my policy using the GEICO app?

“Switching car insurance companies is common when drivers perceive the
cost to start outweighing the benefit
, so kudos to you for making the switch.Unfortunately, you cannot cancel your policy online or in the app.
Instead, you will need to call a GEICO at 1-800-841-1587. Be sure to have your policy number on hand.
When prompted, say cancel insurance policy and then auto. You will then be connected to an agent who can cancel your policy effective immediately or set a future cancellation date.
Fortunately, GEICO doesn’t charge a cancellation fee.
