There’s nothing wrong with changing your mind! To buy a Lexus extended warranty, simply call the dealership where you bought the car and order it either over the phone or in person. Tell them the coverage you want and how long you want it for, and they’ll quote you a price.
Lexus extended warranty plans last from two to ten years, but most people opt for the four-year, 50,000 extended warranty. You can also choose between the **Powertrain, Gold, and Platinum plans. These cover the following:
Powertrain extended warranty
- Engine
- Transmission
- Axle assembly
Gold extended warranty
- Everything the Powertrain warranty covers
- AC and heating
- Cooling system
- Electrical components
- Brakes
- Steering and suspension
Platinum extended warranty
- Everything the Gold extended warranty covers
- Computer-related components and electrical components outside of the electrical system
While you can buy a third-party warranty at any time, you must buy a Lexus extended warranty within the original four-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty period. Lexus will deny your attempt to purchase an extended warranty if you try after this time frame.
