You’re a fan of the sparkly stuff! No judgment—we like the shiny side of life as well.
Learning how to bedazzle your car emblem is a bit of a process. Thankfully, there are some in-depth tutorials online as well as some pre-made kits available with just about everything you need for this project. But here are the basic points:
First you’ll need to have the emblem off of the vehicle, which may involve ordering a new one. Fortunately, these are pretty easy to get online.
Lightly sand the front of the emblem (not the sides) with sandpaper—100 grit will work well.
Clean the sanded emblem with alcohol wipes to remove any dust and debris.
Mix a two-part epoxy and carefully apply it in small dots on the emblem. Many kits include craft syringes for this purpose.
Carefully spread the epoxy with a toothpick to make a thin layer over the emblem.
Using the crystal application tool of your choice, apply your shiny stuff! You should have about 30 minutes before the epoxy dries.
Position your crystals however you like, but keep an eye on them until your epoxy sets. They might slip and nothing ruins a project like something permanently glued in the wrong place.
