What can I do to add music to my Ford Sync's jukebox? I bought this car used, and the jukebox doesn't have a single song on it but around 10GB worth of space for music. It's frustrating!
Sync’s jukebox mechanisms certainly work differently than your standard stereo. The car manual might not even have instructions on how to add music. Luckily, we do!
You have two methods of adding music to your Ford Sync’s jukebox: a USB or a CD.
The most convenient method uses a USB:
Purchase a USB with the desired amount of storage for your music.
Add music to your USB by copying it from your computer and pasting it into your USB’s folder.
Insert the USB into your vehicle’s USB port. On the center dashboard, press MEDIA then select USB.
Hit play to enjoy the music!
Note: this method is only applicable to newer makes of the Ford Sync.
The most reliable method used good old fashioned CD’s:
Insert your CD into the jukebox.
Once the CD is detected, press on Record.
Your jukebox will start playing each song while recording it. Doing so will allow you to play your music without having to insert the CD again. This process may take some time, depending on the length of your CD.
If this whole process feels inconvenient, consider buying your own stereo where you can play music through Bluetooth! The added customization may help your new car feel like your own.
