How do car insurance companies decide who's a high-risk driver?
I'm being refused coverage by my former insurer because I'm a high-risk driver. How did they come to this decision? I've had three tickets in the last six years, which I don't think is that bad.

Insurance companies all rate drivers differently, using various factors (age, credit score, continuous insurance coverage, etc.) and their own unique formulas. Maybe your former insurer is especially risk-averse and strict about who they will and won’t cover.
