Instead of gunning your engine to make it up the hill as fast as possible, try to drive at a speed that is slightly slower than the speed limit. Then, once you crest the hill, take your foot off of the accelerator and allow gravity to pull your car downward. That way, you won’t use any gas half of the time you’re driving on hilly roads.
