- Drive slowlyso that you have time to stop if something crosses your headlights ahead of you
- If there are no cars ahead of you, turn on your high-beam headlights so that you can see more of the road ahead of you
- Otherwise, keep your lights dim so that you don’t blind other drivers by mistake
