How can I start my car if the starter is bad?
When I tried to start my car to head to work this morning, the lights came on but the engine wouldn't start. I also heard a faint clicking noise. I think the starter is bad, but I need to get to the office. Can I start my car somehow?

Even if your has a bad starter, you can still fire it up. However, the problem will persist until you visit a mechanic.
To start your car if the starter is bad, try the methods below:
- Examine the connection to the battery. If one of the connections has come undone or is loose, tighten the connection using a ratchet or wrench.
- Check for corrosion that can interrupt the battery’s connection and clean the terminal heads using an equal measure of water and baking soda.
- Jumpstart the carto try to get it running.
- If you have a manual transmission, push start the car.
