To check your transmission fluid:
Open your hood and locate the transmission fluid dipstick. (Consult your owner’s manual for help.)
Turn on your car and let it run to allow the fluid to warm up.
Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean. Then, replace it in the reservoir. Pull it out again.
Note whether the fluid is below the full line.
If so, you can simply top it off with fluid you buy from an automotive parts store.
