How can I repair peeling car paint?
I drive an old 1999 Corolla and it runs perfectly (for a 22-year-old car) but has definitely passed its prime. My only real complaint is that the paint has recently started peeling. How can I stop and repair the peeling paint?

To repair peeling car paint, you should first collect the following materials:
- Terry cloth and scrubber
- Fine sandpaper (such as 500 grit)
- Primer
- Paint
- Clear coat
After gathering your materials, closely examine your vehicle for all the areas you want to paint and use your terry cloth and scrubber to clean those areas. Next, use your sandpaper to sand away all the peeling paint and the primer underneath. After sanding, apply your primer and allow it to dry completely. Finally, you are ready to paint. To find paint that matches your vehicle, look for the paint’s color in the owner’s manual, call the manufacturer, or ask an auto shop to match it as closely as possible. Once the paint has dried, you just need to apply the clearcoat and you are good to go!
