How can I repair car seat fabric?
I bought a conversion van to convert into a camper and would like to save the bench seat in the back. Sadly, it has a small rip in the corner. How can I repair car seat fabric?

Converting a van into a camper is a great project! Professionals should handle large upholstery projects, but a small rip you can tackle yourself.
Here is a list of materials you will need to repair a tear in your car seat’s fabric:
- Curved upholstery needle
- Extra-strong thread
- Liquid seam sealant
Then, it is just a few quick steps to get the upholstery back in shape:
- Thread the needle and start sewing about half an inch away from the rip.
- Once you close the hole, sew over it again a few times.
- Snip the thread and apply a thin layer of liquid seam sealant.
