How Can I Put A Power Outlet In My Truck Bed?

I’m trying to install an outlet in the bed of my truck. I know you can do it, but I’m not sure how. What do I need to do?

You can put a power outlet in the bed of your truck in several ways. If you want to install it permanently, your best option is to install a 12-volt outlet (like the ones made by Hopkins and Nilight) and wire it directly into your battery.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for something you can easily remove and reinstall, then you’ll want to go with an outlet that plugs into the car charger port—like the one made by Dewalt. Either way, you can find the part you need for $15-$40.
