How can I fix a scratch on a plastic car interior?
I was moving some of my power tools around in the interior of my truck the other day. I turned around too rapidly to put my drill away—and one thing led to another, and I scratched the dashboard. What can I do to fix an interior scratch on the plastic of my car?

Accidents like that are definitely frustrating! However, you should definitely be able to fix the damage. If you need to fix a scratch on a plastic interior at a professional level, here’s what you should do:
- Clean the area with an all-purpose cleaner
- Use a heat gun until the plastic is pliable
- Apply a grain pad that resembles the plastic pattern in the car
- Let the area cool and re-harden
- Wipe down the area again
