How can I cancel my GEICO policy without speaking with an agent?
Is there a way to cancel GEICO without having to talk to someone? I already started my new policy and I hate when companies try to talk you into staying. Can I just stop making payments?

No one likes to be pressured on the phone! Luckily, there is a way for you to cancel with
GEICO
without speaking to anyone on the phone.Have you downloaded the GEICO mobile app yet? If not, you will want to download the app and then click on the “chat” feature. Once the app realizes that you are looking to cancel, they will automatically connect you to a live agent within the chat. You do not need to call in.
Just advise the agent you have already started a new policy and need to cancel. Ensure the GEICO cancelation date is the same as the start date of your new policy to avoid a lapse in coverage.
Here is the information to have handy so the transaction will be quick and simple:
- Your name and date of birth
- Your GEICO policy number
- Your new insurance provider name and effective date. Note: GEICO does not have a cancelation fee unless you live in North Carolina.
