Using less gas sounds like a great way to help you save money. To be fuel efficient when driving, try a few of these tips:
  • Don’t pay extra money for
    premium fuel
, as the improved fuel economy doesn’t negate the increase in price.
  • Always accelerate slowly.
  • Coast to a stop rather than hit the brakes.
  • Check your tire pressure each month.
  • Don’t carry extra weight unless you have to.
  • Track your fuel consumption.
  • Don’t let your car idle for more than a minute or two.
  • Use the fuel consumption or MPG display on your car.
  • Map out your route to avoid construction or traffic jams.
  • Conduct routine maintenance regularly.
