I know that the Middle East, containing countries like Saudi Arabia, is one of the world’s largest oil-producing regions. Will electric cars reduce global or regional fighting in this area?

Electric cars will undeniably change the economy of
the Middle East
—but whether it will reduce the West’s issues in this area is difficult to know for certain. Oil production is set to be tapered off in the coming decades by large companies like Shell and BP. The U.S. is also looking for ways to reduce its dependency on oil from eastern countries and Russia. So, it’s likely that Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia will have to adapt and find new ways to support their economies. Currently, the Middle East is globalizing rapidly, along with many other foreign nations. This means that, like the Biden Administration, Middle Eastern heads of state are looking at ways to reduce their own CO2 emissions, and electric cars are a viable way to do just that.
