Great question! Electric cars are a huge shift in the way that we operate and even think about the automotive industry. With them come positives like reduced greenhouse gas emissions but maybe some negatives as well.
EVs are most known for their low and even non-existent emissions. This is a way to clean up our air as vehicle emissions make up a fairly large portion of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide.
According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), greenhouse gas emissions make up 29% of U.S. total emissions: the largest contributing sector in the U.S. EVs will significantly reduce this problem and help to create cleaner air.
The introduction of electric vehicles will also shift the way we think about cars. There needs to be charging stations implemented in cities so that more drivers can have access while on the road. Despite the fact that we will need to adapt our world to fit EVs, they will help us to write a better future and delay climate change.
