Can veterans’ family members get USAA insurance?

Can our daughter get USAA insurance if her father served in the service with an honorable discharge, but the father does not use USAA coverage?

USAA offers membership to:

Honorably discharged veterans

Spouses

Children

Current service members

Pre-commissioned officers

However, your daughter’s father will need to create a profile and join USAA as a member. Your daughter won’t be able to use USAA unless her father joins as a member since they will require his member number when purchasing

or using any of their other services.

If your daughter’s father doesn’t want to join USAA, you still have options for finding affordable insurance. You can shop around with multiple insurance companies or try using the
