Your car will always keep its salvage title, but you can get a rebuilt title added on by getting the car restored back to a safe condition. It’ll need to pass an inspection by state officials—this is usually done by the Highway Patrol or State Police—after which your car will earn its rebuilt title.
With a rebuilt title, you’ll find that some insurance providers (including Farmers) will offer liability coverage, while others will not. In some conditions these insurance providers will also offer full coverage, often after a secondary inspection or after providing a written letter from a certified mechanic verifying the car’s safety and roadworthiness.
