As you drive your car, you’re recharging the battery, but the voltage of a battery can decrease over time. Ultimately, if you have a faulty alternator, leave your headlights on overnight, have a bad charging system, or there’s some other electrical drain that uses energy even when the car’s not running, then your battery voltage will decrease.
